DISLIKES: THE DARK, UNFRIENDLY DOGS AND SHINY REFLECTIONS AND SHADOWS DUE TO HIS SIGHT ISSUES.

CAME TO US WITH POSSIBLE BEHAVIOUR ISSUES, HOWEVER ALL WE CAN SEE IS ONE BIG SCARED PUPPY THAT NEEDS SOMEONE TO TAKE THE REINS.

WOULD BE BEST SUITED TO AN ONLY DOG HOUSEHOLD, NO SMALL FURRIES AND NO YOUNG CHILDREN.    THIS YOUNG BOY NEEDS QUIET AND CALM.

HARLEY    MALE  4 YEARS OLD

Sweet gentle boy but scared of the world.Harley needs a confident owner who will reassure him that the world isn’t as scary as it appears. In the past Harley did display some guarding tendencies but these are way in the past now. Harley has anxiety so would need someone home more often than not. He walks beautifully on the lead and is very gentle taking treats and just being a wonderful gentleman. Harley will not need many walks as new and busy places can overwhelm him, he would be happier at home playing in the garden and cuddling up on the sofa. Harley could live with a calm, gentle confident female dog with successful introductions. Meets are essential for Harley at our kennels in Preesall FY6 Lancashire. No other small furries or young children as he is easily startled. Special food Gastro Royal Canin due to sensitive stomach issues

LOVES: BELLY RUBS, TUG OF WAR AND HIS FAVOURITE HUMANS!

DISLIKES: CARS AND STRANGERS.

ZEUS CAME TO US WITH SEVERE REACTIVITY AND AGRESSION DUE TO A DOG TRAINER THAT USED PHYSICAL HARM TO CONTROL HIM.  HE TRUSTED NO-ONE OTHER THAN HIMSELF TO KEEP HIMSELF SAFE.  

HE IS STILL IN REHABILITATION BUT READY FOR THE NEXT STEP. HE'S LOOKING FOR A DEDICATED OWNER WHO WILL PUT IN THE TIME FOR HIM.

NO KIDS, NO OTHER DOGS AND NO SMALL FURRIES PLEASE.  A VERY SECURE GARDEN AND CLOSE TO LANCASTER AND MORECAMBE AREAS PLEASE.

 Lovely big lad can walk beautifully on the lead. No other dogs.  Will consider teens and above children.  No other pets.

Winter's last parents kept giving him treats or food to keep him at bay. This was not ideal and resulted in him needing rehabilitation and a diet. Winter would need someone with large breed experience and some knowledge of guardian breeds.

LOVES: CHICKEN TREATS! LONG WALKS AND FRIENDLY DOGS.

DISLIKES: HUMANS, THE RAIN, BEING TOUCHED.

SAAR HAS EXTREMELY COMPLEX ISSUES, USING SELF HARM AS A WAY TO KEEP US AWAY FROM HIM. ON WALKS HE IS LOVELY BUT IN A HOME HIS BEHAVIOUR BECAME UNMANAGEABLE FOR HIS FOSTER PARENTS AND BROTHER.  LIKE DIGBY THE LIKELIHOOD OF SAAR FINDING SOMEWHERE IS SLIM, HE WILL MOST LIKELY BE STAYING IN KENNELS FOR THE FORSEEABLE FUTURE. SAAR IS ONE OF OUR UNSUPPORTED DOGS AND WE CANNOT CARE FOR HIM OR GIVE HIM THE BEST CHANCE WITHOUT YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT.

HENNESSY      FEMALE        CANE CORSO X STAFFY X ENGLISH BULL      7.5 YEARS OLD

LOVES: PEOPLE, MALE DOGS, TREATS AND BALL TOYS.

DISLIKES: FEMALE DOGS, TREES AND TYRES.

HENNESSY WAS FORCED INTO THE DOG FIGHTING WORLD WHERE SHE WAS TRAINED TO RAG CAR TYRES AND WOODEN POLES - HOWEVER SHE REFUSED TO HURT HER DOGGY COMPANIONS SO THEY VICIOUSLY SLICED OFF HER EARS AND BRED FROM HER AGAIN AND AGAIN UNTIL SHE WAS "RESCUED" AND LIVED ON SOMEONE'S BALCONY FOR TWO YEARS WITH ONLY WOODEN STICKS TO CHEW AS ENTERTAINMENT. HENNESSY ARRIVED A YEAR AGO GUARDED AND CONFUSED AND SCARED AND RIGHTLY SO!

IT TOOK WEEKS/MONTHS TO REBUILD THAT TRUST AND BREAK DOWN THOSE WALLS AND NOW WE SEE HER TRUE SOUL AND HEART. SHE IS HAPPY, GENTLE, KIND AND HAS SO MUCH LOVE TO GIVE. SHE IS HAPPY WITH HER MALE DOG COMPANIONS BUT NOT FEMALES.  NO SMALL FURRIES OR CATS AND CHILDREN OVER 15 PLEASE.

LOVES: TENNIS BALLS, CUDDLES AND PLAYING FETCH

DISLIKES: LAWNMOWERS, GARDENERS AND STRANGE PEOPLE.

Marley is our little staffy cross who holds a very special place in our teams heart.  Marley needs more than your average dog human. Marley needs someone extra special, who will understand his past, give him time to trust, who won’t give up till Marley knows he can let his guard down with them. We know Marley’s extra special human is out there, and we will find them. Marley’s issues are being worked on daily, but because of the trauma of his past, some things cannot be erased and only adapted to. Marley believed he was safe so many times in his past, and all of them ended up in heartache, pain and mentally draining for him. He arrived skin and bone and terrified of the world to us. And the change we have is out of this world in his confidence and love for us. But we would love to see that with someone else more than anything in this world.

No other dogs or pets no young children. His humans must have time and patience,  must be kind above all things and  must be willing to come meet him several times to build a bond

LOVES: FOOTBALLS AND RUNNING AND BEAR HUGS AND LOTS OF TREATS

DISLIKES: CATS, CARS AND BICYCLES.

This goofy faced young man is our Buddy boy who would love a new mum or dad who have some big dog/rottie experience as he is a little on the large side and does the typical “rottie purr” when he is happy. Bud loves his walks and is great on the lead, he adores his food and will do anything for a treat or ten! There is no reason for this lad to be in kennels with us, he’s happy healthy and more than ready for his next chapter. Potentially another dog but would require a good amount of slow introductions No cats or small furries.  No young children simply because of his size.

DORA    FEMALE      RETREIVER CROSS           4-5 YEARS OLD

LOVES: Cuddles and attention and playing with random items like shopping bags.

No dogs No children Quiet home (possibly retired) Clean in kennel.     Needs experienced owners in guarding behaviour.

Dora can be adopted through Strays Without Borders but her meets would be done through us first.

LUNA             FEMALE                                                                   AGE?

No dogs. No children.  Needs experienced home with reactivity.  Loves the company of her people but takes a while to accept you. Multiple meets absolutely necessary. Walks lovely when no other dogs around.  Enjoys learning new things and has taken to agility practice very well in the paddock. Can be adopted through Strays without Borders although meets will be done through us.

ABBEY     FEMALE  JACK RUSSELL TERRIER 4 .5 YEARS OLD

LOVES:  Off lead zoomies in the paddock.

No dogs.   Children yes.    Little pocket rocket jrt mix small-medium size.Has a sensitive tummy so special treats and food.    Walks really well on the lead.    High prey drive.  

Can be adopted through Homeward Hounds although meets will be done through us.

LUNA        FEMALE        COLLIE       2 YEARS OLD

 No young children but will consider older and dog savvy.    May consider calm nice natured neutered male companion.   Luna needs someone to show her the world isn’t a scary place and will continue her training and comfort and encourage her to not be so scared.   Experience with reactivity preferred but not essential. Can be adopted through Homeless Hounds.

TOBI       MALE          BOXER X STAFFY                     6 YEARS OLD

LOVES: HIS KONG AND BOOMER BALL TOYS AND ANYTHING TO KEEP HIM BUSY AS HE IS ALWAYS ON THE GO!

Available through Broken Halo Rescue UK although visits will be done through us.    No other animals /pets. Teenagers OK. Typical giddy bouncy boy with lots of love to give and everything that is on the floor is fair game from toys to blankets Tobi will steal and play with them till they no longer resemble what they once were. Very food oriented and easy to train with commitment and experience with the breed types. Please share to help us find Tobi his forever home thank you. Tobi is currently in kennels waiting for a home.
